Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidence-based trauma treatment designed to help the brain process and resolve distressing memories in a gentle, efficient way. ART works by combining eye movements with positive image replacement, allowing painful experiences to be reprocessed without requiring you to verbally share the details.
ART was developed by a clinician with over 30 years of experience in EMDR, building upon that foundation to create a streamlined and highly focused trauma-processing approach. While both EMDR and ART are effective, ART offers a structured and often time-efficient framework that many clients find quick, contained, and empowering.
One of the unique aspects of ART is that clients remain in control throughout the process. You do not have to share the specifics of your trauma out loud unless you want to. Instead, we work with how the memory is stored in your brain and body, helping reduce emotional intensity, intrusive thoughts, and physiological distress.
Many clients experience meaningful relief and eradication of triggers in only 1 session. ART can be helpful for:

Single-incident trauma
-
Childhood experiences
